Agoozle is composed of Dave Hand, who is a Biochemist professionally and a musician on the side. He likes smiling and disco. He plays guitar and bass, programs drums and organs, and produces his music without any professional training, experience, tutoring, or divine intervention. He may be somewhat of an egomaniac. Richard Nixon had nothing to do with this.

Story behind the song

I wrote most of this song maybe a year ago when I was listening to a lot of Franz Ferdinand.  When I started recording it, I realized that I didn't have any idea where it was going or how it should flow.  Then, I listened to what I had down for the intro and I thought, "Pirates!  This song is clearly about pirates!"  Almost everything about the final form of this song comes from that idea.
