Oh Yeah

Music entered my life very early. I am mostly self-taught, beginning with simple sheet music that helped me understand the basics. Over time, ear-training became my most important tool; I learned to trust my hearing and intuition in a very creative way. I have a deep love for the sound of the organ probably because of Jimmy Smith but the piano, with its powerful and expressive character, is often at the heart of my creative process. I play guitar mainly for accompaniment, with occasional simple solos when the music calls for it. I adore the sound of the violin and strings in general; they carry an emotional quality that always moves me. Many years have passed since I first discovered the synergy between computers and music creation. I witnessed the birth of VST instruments and embraced the possibilities of MIDI with enthusiasm. Hardware also remains an important part of my workflow, especially now that it can be integrated so easily into any DAW. I am an amateur musician as you already know but with a genuine love and need for this form of expression. My creative process is never fixed: sometimes it begins with a small piano melody, other times with a rhythmic pattern that inspires me. I mainly use Cubase by Steinberg, and in recent years I have added Roland’s Zenbeats to my studio setup. There are excellent VST instruments and effects from many notable companies, often available at great prices throughout the year. I also use my Yamaha Portable Grand when I need 88 hammered keys and excellent piano sound for my songs. I draw inspiration from sounds, colors, words and texts, movement and nature, people and relationships. I value kindness, good intentions, and above all authenticity and warmth. All these elements shape the way I see the world and the way I create music.
