think back to when Gary Numan first wrote this classic in '79 and then got chance to be onstage with NIN and have crowd go bananas to the frenetic drums and swirling synths and if we don't think we've lost something special than we're crazy...and if we think that time or folks like him are coming back anytime soon then we are complete fools...

Story behind the song

wrote this with John couple of years back and I've just done a nu-mix adding Richard's 12 string (borrowed idea from Rod Stewart's Maggie May off 'Every Picture Tells a Story' Lp) Richard had done this for another track but I really like how it leads us into the rock monster that Give it Up hopefully is, lol!

Love the 12 string into part then it rocks. You guys have another great rocker here. My only nit (and a small one) is that  wish the vocals were a bit more riding on top, but a great song!
