Story behind the song
Tim and I were sitting in a tent near the Harbour Bridge for 10 hours one New Years Eve. We were bored and I had a guitar. This is the product.
Lyrics
Chorus Living day to day Falling into a cliche Nothing left to say Come what may Verse 1 No grass is growing in the field No strong arm left to raise the shield The frost comes sooner every year A cry no one can hear Verse 2 Scars no harmony can mend Every melody must end The frost comes sooner every year The last cadence is here Chorus Verse 3 An endless bitter tide In whom can I confide? The frost comes sooner every year A cry no-one can hear Chorus Bridge Silhouetted in my life I'm awakening In my soul the fear is rife The last twist of the knife Chorus x2 Let it come today Verse 4 How did it get so dark out there? And why doesn't anybody care? The frost comes sooner every year And no-one sheds a tear
