Story behind the song
This is me playing along with an old Alesis SR16 drum machine. It's live, and I'm actually making the song up as I go along. The guitar is a white Fender Squier Strat with 3 pick-ups. It was played in D with the bottom string detuned to D - the "bass" bit at the beginning of the instrumental part is me jamming on this string! The guitar was miked up to catch the acoustic clicking of the pick on the strings, thus there's an almost imperceptible extra percussive sound getting added to the mix. I'm trying to make the guitar sound 'happy'... If you're into Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth, or the Only Ones, you might like this. Despite my worst singing ever, it's my best guitar ever, and my favourite track on here. The tape ended up getting soaked in beer, thus the even crappier sound quality than normal.
