This is a prototype of an amp I have been working on. Its 18 watts via 2 el84 power tubes. It has a 5879 preamp tube and 2 12ax7 in the front end. Its got a full tone stack, two gain controls and a master volume. Great clean and OD tones
The 5879 tube is a low noise substitute for an EF86 with much less of the microphonics issues the EF86 tubes can have. I find this just a great all around amp that takes pedals of all kinds very nicely. This was the prototype build but I have since build it in several form factors and as a 36 watt version as well.
