Another country song with no music about lost and regained love...
counrty amateur lyricist
Country rock pop lyricist vocalist amateur
Hi, well, this is my first and only go at the music industry as of this point in my life. I used to write poetry and even got nominated as Amateur Poet of the Year (2003) by poetry.com. I suppose this is a natural progression for me. Anyway, country is what I grew up on, and country has brought me back to it's loving bosom. I went astray with rap and alternative rock preferences, but now that I'm 28, I just want to lay back and think about my roots. I write from the heart, though I do it without instruments. I write the lyrics and create the melody for my creations, so I hope you enjoy them.

Story behind the song
Well, this is just a song that I'd like to give my wife for V-day! :) I'm not satisified with it, but input on it to make it better would be FANTASTIC!
Lyrics
My Greatest Wish (Verse 1) How do I sum up, the life we’ve spent together, Put a name to all the feelings we’ve been through since day one… How could we let it, get to the point where love had faded, Though not forgotten, separated, It’s time to mend these broken hearts… [CHORUS] So if the flowers and cards just ain’t enough, To get you through when the times are rough, Just know I’m always there for you, And with these words I swear it’s true… I’ll always remember, the first night, On those stairs where we talked endlessly, Alone in the night just you and me, When I asked if I could hold your hand, If I could be your one and only man, When we stared into each other’s eyes, That’s when I began to finally realize, I was so taken by your soft, sweet kiss, And God had granted me my greatest wish… (Verse 2) I don’t pretend girl, that my ways are perfect, I know sometimes my words can cut you, straight down to the core, But one day we can look back, and reminisce on one another, On how we focused on each other, And finally joined 2 lives as one… [CHORUS] (repeat) Written By: Adam Taylor © 02/08/2004
