Christian country rock
Welcome to my site. I have posted a bunch of songs on this site. I hope you enjoy listening. Most of these songs are either Country or Jazz, but there are exceptions...but all are family friendly. My influences are the country rockers of the 70's & 80's. In addition, I have influences in other genre's of music as well, but I really like the beat, and harmonies present in Country Rock. So sit back and enjoy.

Story behind the song
The tragic oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and the people who's lives have been destroyed.
Lyrics
Oil On The Water He was born the son of a West Texas oil man Working on a rig out in the gulf 12 hour shifts, He followed in his daddy's footsteps Married to his childhood sweetheart, life was good. When the sun went down that Louisiana evening He'd never live to see it rise again. He'd never get to hold his wife or newborn baby Or ever see their smiling face again Now there's oil on the water There's black tar on the beaches pure white sand. And there's blood on the hands of politicians There's an outcry from the streets, and oil on the water. At the bottom of the sea the oil keeps flowing While the finger pointers argue who's to blame It doesn't matter how, cause we can't seem to stop it. I'm thinking, only only God can help us now Can't say who's right or wrong, No one has the final answer The important things just seem to fade away Eleven lives are gone beneath the dark ocean waters Eleven families left out on their own, alone Now there's oil on the water There's black tar on the beaches pure white sand. And there's blood on the hands of politicians There's an outcry from the streets, and oil on the water.
