Eclectic folk rock, we bring original sounds mixing guitar, cello and congas. Boaty Drink Music
Pitch Blue - Kevin D, singer/songwriter of the band hails originally from Toronto, Canada. After 14 years living in Florida and sitting behind the drums, he ended up in Kentucky where he did the singer/songwriter thing working with various musicians for sometime before finding neighbors with musical desires. Kenneth Mansfield moved into the area from the DC area, originally hailing from the Carolinas and with a penchant for Scottish Pipe bands, Kenneth holds down the beat on Congas. Living two houses from Kevin, Teresa Beck had been warming back up to the Cello she put down years before. Bringing a very cool mid-range sound to the trio she was convinced the Cello can have a place in an acoustic rock act. Pitch Blue is now working on their first full length CD

Story behind the song
This song was written the night I heard that a childhood friend had died. Though it speaks of a relationship, it cries out for the past. My friend lived near the Lake Ontario shore and the first lines of the song, "See those birds flying high, off into the sky, for some distant shore,I wonder if they'd say hi, to an old friend of mine, not sure he's there no more..." are dedicated to him, I wish I'd kept in touch.
Lyrics
See those birds flying hi, off into the sky, for some distant shore... I wonder if they'd say hi, to an old friend of mine, not sure he's there no more...they seem to take thier dreams, and fly away...I seem to have found mine, somewhere along the way... Take my heart on Sunday, make my Mondays feel just fine... Take my heart on Sunday, make my Mondays feel just fine...there isn't much, you need to do, just let the day envelope you...come on, take it all in now... Remember those days, on Clearwater Avenue, walking hand in hand, holding our sandals, we'd slowly make our way, down into the sand, that's when I knew, that I loved you...you held me close, twilight turning Pitch Blue...chorus
