Each album by contains a variety of musical styles from modern rock to techno to americana with many songs often containing a mix of those influences. This band works hard at sounding different than the others (and sometimes succeeds!) and breaks away from delivering "formula" songs. Many of the tracks are recorded in one or two takes to maintain a feeling of spontaneity and freshness.

Lyrics
I wish I had a nice song to sing today But they shut off my water and my woman ran away They got the car last Saturday night And there's no food so I'm on a diet If that's what you want another clich? I'm telling you true the dog died today I'm feeling crappy really crappy While the rest of the world is happy Really crappy really sad Wondering what else can go bad Well I got a headache that won't go away And I can't find a job no matter what I say I guess I'll have to move out next Monday at noon Haven't seen my parents much I'm gonna see them soon I'm feeling crappy really crappy While the rest of the world is happy Really crappy really sad Wondering what else can go bad Haven't had a meal now for nearly a week I opened up my wallet and I went to take a peek But all that is in there is a lonely dollar bill It's not quite enough to eat my fill I'm feeling crappy really crappy While the rest of the world is happy Really crappy really sad Wondering what else can go bad Feeling crappy Feeling crappy Feeling crappy Feeling crappy
