modern chamber music and some ambient beats..
nicky quick is rapster's musical counterpart.. rapster does the vocals/lyrics/guitars, I do the synths and beatz. now that we have reason 4 and flatpack 3 with audition 3.0 coming next month (nov. 07) we are gonna serve you up with homecooked beatz and compositions. I use no quantization, I line stuff up by feel, eye and ear. I love to drag and drop it where i want it in the sequencer, program my own drums, input my own basslines and keyboard voicings live, etc.. update: I've added some of my chamber music to my page.. new works.. works dating back to the late 80s.. some of my music has won competitions, been recorded.. been published..

Story behind the song
this piece was premiered in the former east germany in 1990.. wish i had a live recording of it.. the old synths and samples were inferior to todays tech sound but like the great composer Milillo said, it doesn't interfere with hearing our musical ideas :-) again a piece from my works with keyboard album (1991).. here's the notes from that time: "the pieces on this recording are a representative cross-section, and possibly the culmination of my compositional efforts with traditional instruments over the past five years. as well as seeking to explore the ever inherent potential of keyboard instruments for harmonic and rhythmic complexity, they demonstrate my own interest in these fundamental musical parameters. all of the compostions were performed and recorded by the composer with various midi equipment and a macintosh computer. future endeavors, including my own, will undoubtedly exploit midi's tremendous potential in order to fully address the problems of the acoustical and musical stagnation confronting composers today." jn
