Ambient electronic music for guitars and synthesizers.
Sleep Distance is my ambient/electronic music project. I am a guitarist, and I like incorporating synths and ambient guitar sounds in my music. I also very much enjoy Michael Manring's fretless bass pieces, and so I play some fretless bass in a few of my compositions. Some of my pieces are a little more composed, others are largely improvised.

Story behind the song
The idea for the arpeggiated clean guitar part came first. Then I decided to try adding programmed drums to this one. Then tried my hand at soloing over it on the fretless bass and electric guitar. The 7/4 time signature can really throw my phrasing off. I think I had an easier time grooving to it on the bass, perhaps because it doesn't sustain like the electric guitar.

Very atmospheric and kind of mesmeric. I hear some psychedelic elements to this track. Great job

A funkier style than what I have seen in the past from this artist. I like it a lot. Guitar work is great, as always. The solo sounds fabby....I know the timing was a challenge for you but it sounds great! The bass section sounds distant. But perhaps this is the intention. "Letting go" is something done gradually, over time...maybe we don't even realize it when we start that process. Your bass is the beginning .... until you figure it out (solo) ... the timing a challenge, but in the end what you have is .... (insert your own word here) ...
