Lyrics
There are so many things I could say to you, But tell me, what good would that do now? It's a question that I'll never have an answer Guess I should get used to hanging on now Never felt so lost, never felt so empty But now I know just exactly how it all will go now And I don't regret it And I am never ever gonna be exactly Who you want me to be now With all your ghosts and in-betweens I wanna hope that I meant something But it's nothing I can count on So tell me is this so unfair This messed up love affair Yet I have nothing for you to latch on So you can't quite attach on Is it my fault I gave my all? So close, yet oh so far In-between cigarettes and no cigars I found myself staring straight at you And you were staring straight at somewhere else now You were lost in thought, inside a dream In a moment without me, and without wanting me And yet it all comes crashing down You'd think I'd know by now But I can't change what used to be Don't wanna live so timidly And I won't say that you were wrong and I was right 'Cause there's no black or white There's only gray, or grayer still What used to be and is and will be And it's nothing I can count on No it's nothing I can count on And this is how I'll learn to go on 'Cause it's nothing I can count on Nothing I can count on No, it's nothing I can count on And this is how I'll learn to go on 'Cause it's nothing I can count on Not any more Not any more
