Story behind the song
For all of you who don't know...Keisha Chante is a R&B singer from Ottawa who had major radio air play down here in Toronto with her debut singing over Shook Ones from Mobb Deep...that's a NO-NO!! She also did not write her own lyrics...instead she decided to sing Shawn Desmond's lyrics (another local R&B singer)...that is a DOUBLE NO-NO!! So the 5 Finger Mafia couldn't stand for it...BIZZ-O stepped up to the plate and said what he had to say...to make a long story short...she is a Shook Crook...
Lyrics
i can't let her ruin shook ones......
to all my peoples/who hate sud sequels....../
by r&b kids who aren't the hip hop equals//
5 Finger.....
[VERSE 1]
she got you stuck off the fakeness, you know you heard of her/
keisha chante official hype beat murderer//
stole mobb's beat/got her name on the street/
and flipped the scripts with a love tune that was cheesy and cheap//
that the rest of us all found weak/we losing sleep/
so just put shook part 2 on top of the trash heap//
you ain't mobb deep keish.....you mafia shallow/
apologize.....shook ones just ain't your style yo//
remixed the beat, remixed someone else's song/
in the music industry please explain to me where you belong//
i spit the ammunition/
you only 14 years old, so remix r. kelly's ignition//
like prodigy...i'll bring the havoc/
and show no sympathy....i'll make your career look tragic//
originality/must be your fatality/
and personally...i don't like your personality//
shook ones on the radio? i got shocked/
and then i heard your voice, even i got rocked//
you can respond, but ain't worth a reply/
you the weakest link to spit on any mobb deep track, so goodbye//
you may think you can sing/or you doing your thing/
but some words of wisdom don't make me dis you again//
cause advice i'm sharing/is basically career sparing/
i have a heart now but next time i ain't caring//
next dis will be atomic like...warfare be nuclear/
coming through and crush your little r&b career//
i'm easily provoked...so please don't taunt me/
i spit like the aids virus....you don't want me//
i ain't scared of you, cause you can't haunt me/
who sings worse, you, lumidee, or ashanti?//
so take these words home and think it through/
or the next dis i write might be about you//
[HOOK]
yo she sucks/keisha chante needs to wake up//
mobb deep is hip hop, she needs to shape up/
or ship out/making people like me flip out//
get your crappy vocal chords ripped out/
right through your mouth/
cause it's tunes like yours we can do without//
saturating classics/with your talent lacking/
song hacking/beat jacking/start packing//
your bags......get out the game/
before i go ludacris.....and make you get out the way//
close the book son/and watch for the hook son/
.....she's a crook son.....and she's a shook one//
[VERSE 2]
if that boy got her shook/take a closer look/
cause keisha chante will admit that she's a halfway crook//
and all the hip hop heads want you lynched/
they convinced/that you should have never placed your fingerprints//
on a beat that was just so gangsta/
now it's corrupted by a female wanksta//
and it's thanks ta/.....i don't know who/
but what i.....do know for sure is that i'm blaming you//
and who cares if she likes a guy, it's still no excuse/
to sample shook ones for love and then turn the track loose//
sorry key/but shook ones ain't r&b/
next time you wanna saturate a beat use one from nelly//
and i don't fear shawn desmond, even he can get it/
battle who? he freestyles r&b poetics//
pathetic, and i don't care if she's his protege/either way/
stop her tunes yo from ever getting airplay//
dissing the little girl, like i ain't right/
but who saw a future for her music had no eyesight//
more blind than 3 mice/yo they rolled the dice/
it turned up snake eyes when they gambled on her tunes being nice//
they proved that they ain't bright/
her song ain't tight/she ain't right//
she knows she can't fight/......cause she knows she'll never keep it real tonight//
[HOOK]
shook crooks......need i say more?/
it's just a sample of what i really had in store//
and we ain't hating....but you owe the streets an apology keisha......so we waiting..../
and if you're lucky.....we might forgive you...but i doubt it
so don't hold your breath.....you'll suffocate/
