Story behind the song
Lyrics
“From side to side the river was drowsy, during the warmest July’s night, Elaine used to let her Sunday´s dress flow away to the sand, and run into the peaceful water she found while being a child. Sweetly she swam across the waters, her imagination fought against her education making Elaine create her most sensual fantasies. She imagined obscene visions… She saw the shadow of a demon calling her like a tenor, loving her the demon just laughed like a tenor… I must tell you Elaine was the daughter of the town’s parish priest. He punished her body with the foolish idealism of seeing her as the purest girl in town. She coveted a thousand angels put her father in chains while the wind got strongly nimble and the river became stormy. All of them saw a figure emerging from the waters… While the preacher sweated holly words, the demon made love to Elaine again. “Father, I’m not in this world to be repressed by your doctrines! Father, because of your fanatism I’m here imagining obscene visions!” Until one day Elaine definitely abandoned the comfortable prudence of Reality…” “Padre! No he venido a este mundo a vivir reprimida por tus doctrinas!” “Padre!
