Story behind the song
This is from the opening minutes of the first set at Smedley's Roadhaus 01-12-04. It's from a soundboard recording so the room noise is burried, but if you listen closely you can hear the sirens way in the background. This was the night the police came bursting in just as we started to play. We kept playing as they carded and searched everybody in the room. Eventually, Smedley took them into his office to find out what was happening. Turns out they were in the wrong place. There was a car in the parking lot similar to one they were looking for in connection with a liquor store holdup. They ended up staying the whole night, and two of them ended up on stage jamming with us in the second set. Ah, the power of music!
