Song written on a small keyboard in the early 90's in Myrtle Beach SC. I was living on the coast, singing in a band and writing a lot of ballads. This is the first full band recording of this song and was suggested for inclusion on the album.

Written initially for my mother, but rewrote the lyrics...tough thing to write about from the perspective of a man who felt lost in this world, it was easier to just assume the part of a man traveling and being seperated from his lover...I never told my mother it was originally written from the perspective of a child feeling abandoned.
