Story behind the song
This track is one of the strangest I have ever conceived. There are 5 individual bell parts to this: glockenspiel, vibraphone 1 & 2 and celesta left and right hand. Placing the notes so that they would not conflict with one another took a while, especially since they all loop fugue-style. On top of this are 3 melodic lines in counterpoint. In addition, there’s a double string section present, the first playing arco, the other pizzicato. The sounds have been replaced with synths, yet the overall effect is still Christmassy (I keep seeing a window with frost feathers: the patterns all vary but it all makes sense). Frost Feathers was never intended to be a Christmas jingle, but with all those bells there was no escaping it. The ending actually sounds like it did when the symphonic sounds were used. This track once went by the name Klooless, don’t ask me why.
