can't really describe what my sound is like, because i don't sound like anyone that's out right now. i can only do me. i know that sounds cliche, but i guess you will have to just press play to find out where i'm at musically right now. for my next LP i am taking more of a soulful approach and i'm trying to slow things down, because i want this LP to be more of a retrospective of what it's been like doing this music thing. i'm also producing beats so check me out and if you like the sound, and want to buy some tracks, or collaborate, just contact me.

Story behind the song
my producers and i were struggling with the idea of developing a sound for the next LP that would be less in your face, and more of a sound that anyone could relate to, and at first, it just sounded like "hey, maybe you should start doing some "drake" songs, or some sh**" which i couldn't get with. eventually i started to experiment with some different deliveries and this was one of the freestyles that i dropped while experimenting. it came off as kind of a diss to my producers who were trying to help me with expand my style, but it was all love.

boom blap, boom blap like a kick drum and a hi hat, i need that like 808 drums, i need that slump ken form the bay but i dont go dumb had to sell my soul just to spit this flow cause i guess my soul cant be sold to the youth today so i guess i gotta sound like what errbody play gotta surf the net cause i dont know what's in what's been in never mattered to ken gotta see who's hot on the messageboard, but the message just makes me board! but i guess i gotta do it for phyllie and pat, cause we go deeper than any loop or track so here it is my soul sold you know we better go at least gold! so i guess i sold my soul today had to change that flow of what i had to say so i'm a have to quit change that flow of how i had to spit it turn down my vocals cause my voice was clippin had to turn my ego down cause i was too deep in it too deep in it wrote my next verse had my boys upended didnt understand my mind so i let em up in it like this! and they showed me a path how to fire off rhymes without havin' to blast without having to clash with the everyday hate in my heart cause everyday that sh** would rip me apart yo, the hate in my heart why i rap these slugs why i stand on stage like i'm holdin' a grudge screamin' no love! jumpin' off the roof but on this track i'm just passin' through
