We wake up each day and the sun brings us promise But you and I know it’s too soon. We still see the mountain of tasks ahead And hope that freedom lies after. When this world expects so much everyone mustn’t stop. Unless you’re ok with mediocrity. It’s one or the other you try or don’t bother but I just want time here to think. Everybody expects so much and I wish that I didn’t feel the same. Is this endeavour for perfection pointless? Is this living life to the full? A jack of all trades but to commit I’m afraid. Can you tell me this leads somewhere? Do you think I should change am I going the right way. Or will you love me no matter. You’ve given me options a plenty and I can’t Seem to pick something to go with. Do I set this in stone when I sign on the line? Please can I decide another time? The hourglass empties in front of my eyes. With my heart and my mind, I still can’t decide. Give me a lifetime and I might decipher what I want from this. Everybody is asking me what this next part of my life will bring. But I still don’t know just like five years ago and i’m not sure I’m getting any closer. If I had a clue than you know I’d be doing it. Wasting no moment this gift. But I know that I live for the sound of these strings And the music that lets me know. I’m not alone. Everybody is scared, we’re all afraid and we don’t know what we’ll do. Nobody wants to waste this chance and we all want to look back and say. That we all did our best and every moment we cherished our blessing of life. We took ourselves to our greatest potential and left the world a better place. But nobody knows, nobody knows And that’s ok. Nobody knows, oh nobody knows. Just enjoy this question for another day. Nobody knows, nobody knows and we’ve all got so far to go. Nobody knows, oh nobody knows and that’s why I’m smiling today.
