With confidence and a leap of faith, Matthew Fogle entered the Christian rock realm in 2009 after playing the secular indie rock scene for 8 years. Now, fans are describing his music as a twist on contemporary Christian, with a modern rock touch, but still catchy enough for every listener to enjoy. The excitement is here, and Matthew is stacking the cards to play in and around Louisville, KY, and eventually (God willing) a regional circuit in 2010. His latest EP “Plea:491” was recorded at the awesome Dark Horse Studios in Franklin, TN, and produced by Chris Mara. Five original Christian rock/pop songs decorate the EP, each praising God in its own unique way. In hope and prayer, the music will reach a wide audience. Promotion and marketing of the EP is ongoing through music stores in Louisville, at all live shows, and online at matthewfogle.cc, CDBaby, iTunes, and Amazon.com, to name just a few. The journey towards “Plea:491” began over 10 years ago, when, with the same musical knowledge as an oil can, Matthew started singing songs onto a cassette tape (yes, a cassette tape). The tape was soon full, and it became a catalyst for a future songwriter and performer, and inspired him to buy his first acoustic guitar. Since then, Matthew has played in hundreds of shows (400+), both in bands and in his solo career. Now, it’s all in the hands of God, for God is at the center of Matthew’s life. “Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness You have done marvelous things, things planned long ago.” Isaiah 25:1.
