Songwriter, home recordist, and occassional performer. I write songs intended primarily for bikers who have either found Jesus or need to. For those that see
I've been a songwriter from the moment I picked up my first guitar. Over the years I've developed some skills on the keyboard as well which I use extensively in my home recording studio. I see myself more as a songwriter and session recorder than performer, though I do occassionally perform. Although I've written conventional and traditional material for most of my life, I gave up on it several years ago, primarily because there was nothing I found inspiring. Then I let Jesus come into my life and the inspiration began flowing like a river once again. I believe this is because God has a new mission for me, and that is to reach out and minister, through my music, to those in dire need of his saving grace. My audience is more likely to have tatoos and a motorcycle than a nice haircut and a minivan. This is for the folks who felt life rejected them from the beginning, so they have rejected life...but in doing so, they rejected the only thing in life that could save them from their misery. As one of the pastors from North Carolina's Freedom Riders stated to me, you can't ride free if you don't know what real freedom is, and only Jesus can give you that kind of freedom. I don't think you have to own a bike to have a biker mindset and to relate to this music. This music is for anyone who has felt beaten by life. Those who have tried all the worldly avenues to try and fill the hole in their hearts, but have found nothing but more misery and pain. For the hopeless in search of hope. And for those that have found Jesus and desperately hold onto that precious gift because they know, better than anyone else, how miserable life can be without it.

Story behind the song
In June of 2010 the Salvation Saloon will sponsor a bike ride/mission based loosely on the concepts exemplified in the TV show "Then Came Bronson" that aired in the 1969-70 season starring Michael Parks. Bronson rode across the country and in each episode would encounter and become involved in the lives of people in need. In the same way, The Bronson Project will bring together bikers of faith and we will ride through Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina offering God's blessings and help to those we find in need. We will, in short, go where the spirit leads us.
Lyrics
Somewhere in the darkness of the night (while the city sleeps) A mother holds a child, asleep in her embrace. She wonders if before the morning light (when life begins again) She can find some shelter just to keep him warm and safe. Alone inside her anguish, and faceless in her pain. Are there any angels left to give her hope again. So many lives are broken So many needs unspoken So many hearts are laden with anger and despair. Lord open up my heart to care enough Give my arms the strength to lift them up. Love will be the answer that takes me down the road To where the spirit leads. No one seems to notice who they are (like shadows on the wall) Blending with the background of a normal business day But you never really have to look that far (just open up your eyes) To find someone that’s hurting as they struggle on their way. Never knowing they’re watched over, but hungry for some grace All they really need to know is God is on their side. So many lives are broken So many needs unspoken So many hearts are laden with anger and despair. Lord open up my heart to care enough Give my arms the strength to lift them up. Love will be the answer that takes me down the road To where the spirit leads. Do they know there’s someone that still cares? Do they know that God is really there? Do they know that they are not alone? Do they know that faith can bring them home? Do they know your love can dry the tears? That you are still alive and you are here? Do they know that you’ll be there to help them through the storm? So many lives are broken So many needs unspoken So many hearts are laden with anger and despair. Lord open up my heart to care enough Give my arms the strength to lift them up. Love will be the answer that takes me down the road To where the spirit leads. You gotta know that Love will be the answer that takes me down the road To where the spirit leads.
