Lyrics
Music by Nadia Cripps. (C)1999. (C) 2010. Recorded and produced by Jono Buchanan. Natasha Cuevas (flute and clarinet) and Nadia Cripps (piano). Words, vocals by Richard Blum (rittmo) An Innocent Child -- when an innocent childs eyes sees what their ears can't comprehend loud voices from the ones they love hands raised a sad message is sent -- the darkness of sleep cannot overcome as creepy images seep into their dreams the nightmare hopes to awaken to a smile such is the graciousness of an innocent child such is the graciousness of an innocent child how long before the thunder comes crashing their way how long before they too become victims of the prey prey of a good situation gone awfully bad an innocent child whose life once happy is now sad -- defenseless to the terror the horror of it all why can't grownups see how far they have fallen -- when an innocent child cries himself to sleep there are no happy endings to cherish or to keep --
