Story behind the song
The song was originally written about a girl in Kenyon's past. The first time he looked into her eyes was like peering into heaven. Later, the CCMA loved the song so much they asked Kenyon to change the lyrics to more of a Christian influence. Thus the country version of "Heaven In your Eyes" was born. This version was written from the stand point of what the disciples must have seen the first time they looked into the eyes of Jesus. What were their struggles? What are our struggles that keep us from having a victorious existence in Christ? Kenyon & Thurane produced this version as well.

1. It's true... I fought... Never wanted to, never wanted to follow you. I fought loving you; can't fight this feeling inside. Nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide 2. In you I see a prison in chains Why can't I change my heart? In me I see a burning relection Deep misconception of love. Nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide. Chorus: Well I see heaven in your eyes. My whole world is comprimised. I see heaven in your eyes. Heaven in your eyes. Bridge: So take a chance and let your life enhance my love. 3. I surrender, I give all my heart I give all my life to you. So take me way from this world of deciet in you I'm complete. Nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide. Chorus: Well I see heaven in your eyes. My whole world is comprimised. I see heaven in your eyes. Heaven in your eyes.
