About a city slicker on dreaming a cowboy. He works for the government all day and at night moonlights as a country singer in one of the lowly bars called The Raceway Tavern on the Byward Market jungle side 'o town. This is actually a true story.

Story behind the song
The story is I walked into a bar called Sidewinders one night on Rideau St, in Ottawa Canada for a beer and they were having and the girls were having an electric bull riding contest . A girl had won the trophy. I asked for the barkeep for a pen and so I got myself a song steed and all . Musicians: Steel: Dan Loyer Drums: Buddy MCCann Background vocals: Rick King & the Sunshine girls It's actually a take off of the 1st "King of the Ottawa City Cowboys' I just globalized it by taking the word (Ottawa) out. It's actually a true story cause I was that cowboy tho I didn't work for the government Hee Haw.
Lyrics
King of the City Cowboys Well I'm the king of the city cowboys I ride the electric bull My horse is parked at a metered stall And thrives on Texaco fuel I play my guitar mu harp beat my drum Even moan you a sad country song And I sing for all the ladies At the Raceway Tavern Saloon All day I work for the man on the hill In a three piece suit and a tie But tonite I'm goin to change all of this Climb into my chevy and ride I've matered all the new country disco techniques In a way that you've never seen By day I work by night I play In my sexy skin tight blue jeans I toast y'all concrete city cowboys The hard work beer drinkin kind Ans may the landlord give you a credit For what you drink here you do leave behind And to all you gals at the barstools Don't pay that ol cowboy no mind For when a cowboy is sad it's not half as bad He'' do a computer game one more time Words & Music Paul Henry Dallaire Paul Henry Pub.
