A little bit of everything
Tigerfolly is Chris Gardner, an alarmingly useless multi-instrumentalist. Starting out on bass, he branched out to drums, guitar, guitar-synth, and keyboard, and occasionally attempts to sing.

Story behind the song
In 2001 I joined a band named Soulvasq. They were friends of mine that I've known for quite a while, and they were all really good with their respective instruments. They had plenty of songs written that we rearranged and rewrote when I joined. I had the drummer and bassist come into the studio I was a partner in, and record rough demos of a bunch of their songs. Two years later, after I left the band, I really wanted good, finished versions of the Soulvasq songs, and decided to build on those original bass and drum demos. Two Dollar Bill was our only complete recording project together in our own personal studio. I had a full recording studio set up in the basement of the band's house, and started recording two tracks; Aliens Ate My Buick and Two Dollar Bill. The latter was a song that wasn't quite completed when I joined, so we hammered out the final arrangement together. I only had the guitar part arranged when it came time to record the song. I knew I wanted a B3 organ part throughout the song, but didn't exactly know.. as I was writing the organ part I happened upon the horn idea, and threw it in. Lastly, the baritone saxes were added for that Tower of Power "Doc" Kupka sound ;)
Lyrics
Your fifty cent piece don't do me no good. What use is it to me if I can't spend it at the gas station. Your fifty cent piece don't do me no good. They're all heavy in your pocket and they'll chuckle while you walk. And they're chuckling all over my store. Your silver dollar don't do me no good. Where you keep getting these things, 'cause they don't give 'em out at the banks no more. Your silver dollar don't do me no good. Besides that thing you want costs more than you want to pay. So you might as well put it back. Susan B. Anthony, she don't me no good. Bring that girl into town and sell her to the coin collector. Susan B. Anthony, she don't me no good. They all look too much like quarters if you're not numismatically keen. They're the U.S. Mint's foulest blunder. Your two dollar bill don't do me no good. What good is it to me if I can't put it in the vending machines. Your two dollar bill don't do me no good. Ya see there's no spot for it in this here box. Yet ya trade 'em all in for electronic socks. I said, "Don't you know these things are made in Japan." He said, "Oh, damn. Don't they make anything here anymore?" And he turned around and walked right out. Your two dollar bill don't do me no good. Two dollar bill, your two dollar bill.
