Wavelength is a rock band from newfoundland working on their second independant album
Hit The Road Running was recorded in the summer of 2000 in Grand Bank, Newfoundland. It was recorded using a close to Antique 4-track recorder which broke on us twice during the entire 3 month session. Once while recording the drums and the tape would not eject, and the second time the rewind and fast forward buttons stopped working. Through all our problems and playing of shows though the CD was finished at a fairly high quality considering we did do it in a hurry, and in a basement and a garage. Drums were recorded in a garage using about 4 microphones to mike the drums and run them through a board into the 4-track. Thanks go out to Philip Piercey and his dad Jim for letting us use their drums and garage. The drum tracks were laid down by Ryan and Matthew. When Ryan played drums, Matthew played rhythm guitar, and vice versa. The rest of the lead guitar and bass was recorded in Ryan's basement while we were moving equipment in and out from playing shows around the area. A lot of the lead and bass was juggled around between Ryan and Matthew. Jeff was mostly unavailable other than at show time because of work, so we did most of his bass tracks. He did the first half of You Walked In, and Matthew fixed the ending so that Jeff could still stay on the CD in some form. The CDs were then mixed by Jeff and Matthew using Jeff's computer. And so the Wavelength legacy started....

Lyrics
One more hour, that's what I need to give me piece of mind I'll go for a walk, because I have lost all sense of time I will silently compose, something that might please your ear But you've been blinded by the Afterglow, And you don't want to hear Sobriety is a joke, told to children to help them stay in place You won't understand till your laughing hard, and it hits you point blank in the face. A Generation Lost In Space, that's what they called us They thought they could take my place, they can't tolerate us So I turn my music up and I belt out a fast rock tune. For my friends, and a generation hanging by a thread. You try and tell me what to do, you can't even keep your life together While your inside playing, I'll be battling stormy weather The clock has stood the test of time, and now I will make it through, I can make the grade, please just tell me how the hell will you A Generation Lost In Space, that's what they called us They thought they could take my place, they can't tolerate us So I turn my music up and I belt out a fast rock tune. For my friends, and a generation hanging by a thread. Falling through, the hole you painted in your past Maybe you, knew that it would never last Fame it is fleeting, and you hoped you could enjoy it till the end But there's a hole in your heart that you know you cannot mend A Generation Lost In Space, that's what they called us They thought they could take my place, they can't tolerate us So I turn my music up and I belt out a fast rock tune. For my friends, and a generation hanging by a thread.
