The Prodigal Son aka Lost and Found
This was the original recording we did for the KAE challenge in rather a hurry - so we're probably going to start from scratch...

Lyrics
A man had two sons and had a fine estate
But the youngest was greedy and he would not wait
So he went to his father and demanded his share
and he made off for a distant land
He wasted his money on food and wine
but his money ran out and famine swept the land
so he worked for a farmer in the fields with the swine.
He had nothing but swill to eat
But he came to his senses in his hunger there:
“In the house of my father there is food to spare
I’ll go back as a servant if he will take me in,
I’m not worthy to be called his son”
If you look to the horizon you will see him there
He is watching, he is waiting for his child
And the father, when he sees him, runs with arms open wide
to his son, who was lost, but is found.
Then his father reclothed him in the finest robe
put a ring on his finger and he took him home,
killed the calf he had fattened, for a feast that very night
for his son had come back to life.
But the eldest brother would not celebrate
He was angry, and jealous, he would not go in:
“All these years I have laboured here, faithful to you,
but you did not have a feast for me”
“My child,” said the father, “you have stayed by me
and all that I have now is yours to keep,
but we must dance, we must feast, we must shout and we must sing
for your brother is alive again”
If you look to the horizon you will see him there
He is watching, he is waiting for his child
And the father, when he sees him, runs with arms open wide
to his son, who was lost, but is found.
