Collaboration with ES From a poem by Jerry Willard of Electric Shadow. The words Jerry had written made the melody!!! The search for unconditional love also involves searching one's self....

No claims of being a performer. I just give it what little I've taught myself musically by songwriting. Recorded by mic, straight to computer as sound on sound.
Born at an early age, I was just a kid at the time....from there memory escapes me, until 2000 or 2001 when I decided to teach myself guitar. In order to teach myself guitar, I took to writing songs. From there, I added bass and occasionally, harmonica and a small touch of electric guitar. Not much of a performer, but I love to experiment writing songs. So, it's nine or ten years into it so far....and I've only scratched the surface with tons to learn. Maybe, you'll find something you like on the nearly three pages, I've loaded so far....Comments are welcome, I don't expect all comments to be favorable, but objectively constructive. I make no claims of being a performer....I just give it my best with what little that I've taught myself both musically and in songwriting. All songs are either written, played and sang by myself or my attempt at covering a song by my favorite artists.

Story behind the song
After having read this insightful poem on Electric Shadow's site, here at Soundclick, Jerry Willard of Electric Shadow graciously consented to allow my attempt to set "True Fortune" to music.....but, it seems the words themselves made the music!!!! The search for unconditional love involves searching one's self as well as those in your life and then even into the most abstract concepts of life, weighing one's self in the balance...

For my feeling you support, translate and interpret the lyrics by Jerry distinctive. Folk song with that unique note of Wade Farlowe. I love that instrumetation very much .smart idea. That are your footprints that I find hearing this song. Seems your are fare away: on the top of the hill ,of your music hill. Unbelievable what you create with guitar bass (and some ohtehr instruments from time to time). Its my pleasure to visit your achive. When ever I come I find a new gem. Yeah its unbelievable Mr. Country voice. Erik

This song is a wonderful collaboration between talented people. A charismatic composition indeed. Infectious and it is remarkable how you are able to bring the right elements/phasing into your songs to engage the listener. Superb all the way!!!

Hi Wade, Nice song for the ES poem. Very hard to write music to preexisting words. You have done a good job and they seem to like it and that says a lot since you are messing with their words. LOL! I did it once for Dawn Sinclair but you have done this quite nicely. I like the melody you are doing some different melodic changes there. In fact the middle lead came up and I started jamming to it. Not very nicely but I had fun it was a distraction from these stupid steelers. Not sure if you only get one play for me sliding the rule back on the player to replay a part. Well anyway nice work. And as always thanks for coming by.
LOVE IT, GREAT JOB WADE AND E S CHEERS C & N
