Slippery When Wet

Sexy, sneaky, hip-grinding, greasy, down and dirty slippery blues shuffle. This is the one where we finally get a shy lead guitar player who is trying to stay in the background. Unheard of, right? They're always in your face! Not this time.

Fremont John plays Taylor acoustic guitars. Check out his CDs Timeline, Acoustic Thunder and Lightning Strikes the Bull. For fans of ,
A strong, versatile voice (think Jonny Lang or, Rob Thomas) and very clean, melodic guitar style (think acoustic Santana meets Craig Chaquico ) are Fremont's magic . Whether an original work or a cover song, John makes it his own. His style and killer sound make him a standout in a crowded field.

Story behind the song
Another tune written from the rhythm guitar perspective. The whole format was in place before the lead was attempted. This was pulled from my recorded arsenal of instrumental ideas and developed during the course of recording. I use guitar lines I would otherwise never think of and that's what I love about the creative process. It gets me way out of the box. This is all about the open-string. That's what gives it it's greasy, slippery feel.
