Story behind the song
Dan and I have forever been fascinated with the liquid side of life- the ebb and flow of the human imagination. No mystery there. You can hear, and feel as well, the traces of water in dozens and dozens of ways throughout our music across these many years. One Cool Drop is a child's point of view on finding a place in this tumultuous world. Or as the song professes, searching for their "relief". And like everything in nature needs that one cool drop to survive, the child in us all ever seeks to quench the thirst for purpose. For my baby, my little girl. Daniela, you are my one cool drop. This one is for you.
