Story behind the song
Now don’t get me wrong. I’m as capitalist and geeky as the next songwriter. But I wrote this song as a response to the never ending stream of advertising thrusting new, improved, can’t-live-without products on us. Written (music & lyrics) by Marc Glinert, 2009. All instruments, vocals, recording, mixing, mastering by myself. Thanks for listening, h I was chiefly concerned by ‘digital-age’ products – probably because this is the type of advertising that catches my eye. But no doubt it’s the same story in fashion, home decor., power tools, cosmetics or whatever else you may be interested in.
