Story behind the song
My father fell ill in 2008. It was one of the darkest times of my life. Uncle Russel was the shoulder my wife and I leaned on duing our role as care givers for my father. Sadly my father passed away April 25 2009. This song was written as a way of saying ...thank you ... to a special man, a friend and family member. Here's to you Uncle Russel hope this puts a smile on your face.
Lyrics
Uncle Russel's T-Bucket (Lyrics) In a quiet little town off of I-24 Lived a hell of man who ran a car sales store He'd do anything for ya Give the shirt off his back Nothin seem'd to phase him, he's at the top of the pack He'd seen a lot of places... knew a lot faces Most times he's the talk of the town. He was a straight shootin, smooth talkin son of a gun Nobody ever put him down Don't you give him no lip He might tell you to shove it And you better stay away from Uncle Russel's T-Bucket Solo It was lean and mean beat all you ever seen It was the apple of ole Russel's eye When you see him commin down the street Makes you wanna leave your seat Watch him as he rolls by Turnin up in places Winning all the races Running with a gleam in his eye If you think you're gonna take him Boy you cannot break him If you're smart You won't even try Don't you give him no lip He might tell you to shove it And you better stay away from Uncle Russel's T-Bucket First Gear... it was getting heavy Second Gear... he just dusted a Chevy Third Gear... he was passin em by Fourth Gear... is when he started to fly Turnin up in places Winning all the races Running with a gleam in his eye If you think you're gonna take him Boy you cannot break him If you're smart You won't even try Solo First Gear... it was getting heavy Second Gear... he just dusted a Chevy Third Gear... he was passin em by Fourth Gear... He just started to fly Turnin up in places Winning all the races Running with a gleam in his eye If you think you're gonna take him Boy you cannot break him If you're smart You won't even try Don't you give him no lip He might tell you to shove it And you better stay away from Uncle Russel's T-Bucket Solo End.
