New Age Cowboy. (c) June 2009. John Paragreen
I sold my horse and saddle, bought myself a quad bike
Now I'm riding the range
As fast as the speed of light,
It's got a plastic canopy, to keep my whiskers dry
I've country music on my i pod
And the best sat nav money can buy.
chorus
I'm a new age cowboy, I don't get cold and wet
No I don't sit on a horse, from sun up to sun set,
My quad can do the ton, it aint no wind up toy
I'm riding easy, I'm a new age cowboy
I threw my boots into the creek, kept my spurs as souvenirs
I felt kinda nostalgic
But I didn't shed any tears,
I wear comfy training shoes, my feet don't feel like lead
And I don't sleep on the ground
I greet the dawn on my blow up bed.
chorus.
bridge
I've got a five K generator
It runs my mini refigerator
And charges up my lap top,
With a cool beer in my hand
And eight meg broadband
I'm king of the cowboy crop.
chorus
I don't spin a rope anymore, to round up numbskull strays
I blast my deafening horn
And they soon change their ways,
They run back to the herd, just as fast as they can
And I rustle up lunch
On my new electric frying pan.
