I am a descendant of a long line of musicians and vocalists, born in 1970 in Los Angeles, California; I became interested in singing at the age of 3. At a very early age, my talent was realized. I sang my first solo in front of hundreds of elementary school students at the age of 12, wrote my first song at the age of 13, and recorded for the first time at the age of 14. After many courses in music, vocal lessons and constant solo appearances within the church, I felt comfortable enough to begin recording with other acts. In 1992, I recorded with a small rap group located in the Pacific Northwest. In 1993, I began performing at The Rain Tree, a local nightclub. 1994 I won several talent contests, which exposed me to a wider audience. During 1995 I displayed my talent in a local version of ShowTime at the Apollo held at the Rialto Theatre. In 1996, I blossomed as a live performer at The Vault, another local nightclub where I developed and perfected my live act. By the time I was 25, I acquired a vast amount of experience from performing in front of large crowds. In the summer of 1998, as my star began to really shine, I opened for the late comedian Rudy Ray Moore, AKA Dolomite, at the Temple Theater in Washington State. During 1999 through 2001, this 31 year old vocalist recorded vocals for Ocean Records Recording Artist “Azarel” as well as other local recording artists. On December 8, 2009, I made my radio debut. I was featured on Hooah Radio; a veteran owned and operated internet radio station with a world wide listener base in 175 countries which equals 77.7% of all countries. During 2010 I had the pleasure of singing with Darren Motamedy a local Jazz musician, at the Muckleshoot Casino in Auburn Washington. I’m currently writing and recording my own music in hopes of sharing my life’s testimony through song. “Singing makes me feel alive; Performing is one of it's perks." - Cecret Jones
