Story behind the song
This song is a fast tempo reworking of Psalm 23 (shout out to King David y'all) and features an acoustic guitar, piano, drums and bass arrangement that bows its head toward another god of song, Brian Wilson.
The song started based on a story about a young boy in the Canadian provinces who was taught to pray the 23rd Psalm using the fingers on his right hand.

However, after attending the funeral of my grandfather, where I received a prayer card with the 23rd, I felt moved to rewrite the song closer to the source text while sharing some autobiographical details to secularize one of the most beautiful pieces of writing about belief and faith.
