R. Davila (formerly amw) is a solo project of electronic music. The tracks are audio-tangible expressions of nostalgia, memories, colors, moods, and thoughts. Much of my music revolves around finding the Infinite, the Beautiful, the Divine in the mundane world in which we live, surrounded by technology, scientific advancements, corporate buildings, populated by souls sapped of life because of excess entertainment and consumption. The semi-long public bus rides to college every day back in 2002 to 2004 in beautiful sunny and rainy days of South Florida really affected me deeply on many levels: creatively, religiously and philosophically. I owe to those bus rides and relationships with my artistically-oriented friends the inspirations that came about in my creations of "Mothmien" and "Sleepy Stormy".
