Songwriter, home recordist, and occassional performer. I write songs intended primarily for bikers who have either found Jesus or need to. For those that see
I've been a songwriter from the moment I picked up my first guitar. Over the years I've developed some skills on the keyboard as well which I use extensively in my home recording studio. I see myself more as a songwriter and session recorder than performer, though I do occassionally perform. Although I've written conventional and traditional material for most of my life, I gave up on it several years ago, primarily because there was nothing I found inspiring. Then I let Jesus come into my life and the inspiration began flowing like a river once again. I believe this is because God has a new mission for me, and that is to reach out and minister, through my music, to those in dire need of his saving grace. My audience is more likely to have tatoos and a motorcycle than a nice haircut and a minivan. This is for the folks who felt life rejected them from the beginning, so they have rejected life...but in doing so, they rejected the only thing in life that could save them from their misery. As one of the pastors from North Carolina's Freedom Riders stated to me, you can't ride free if you don't know what real freedom is, and only Jesus can give you that kind of freedom. I don't think you have to own a bike to have a biker mindset and to relate to this music. This music is for anyone who has felt beaten by life. Those who have tried all the worldly avenues to try and fill the hole in their hearts, but have found nothing but more misery and pain. For the hopeless in search of hope. And for those that have found Jesus and desperately hold onto that precious gift because they know, better than anyone else, how miserable life can be without it.

Story behind the song
This song popped into my head one day when I was cruising down the beaches in Clearwater. It was shortly after I had accepted Jesus into my life and I realized how much more I could enjoy life because my worries were over. I knew what my life meant and where I was going for the first time in my life.
Lyrics
In my younger days When life was filled with wilder ways, And I thought I knew the answers to it all. It didn't take me long to learn Play with the fire, you'll get burned. And when you're up on top you're bound to fall. The more I tried the less I won With no direction left to run Until I finally found his healing grace. Now the footsteps that I found Lead me on to higher ground I know where I'm going now. -------------------------------- All the years when I was lost And I refused to count the cost Makes me wonder how I ever made it out. Like a ship lost in the night Out of touch no land in sight. All my days were filled with fear and doubt. Then like a bolt from God's right hand I finally came to understand That there's a purpose to my life I'd never known. Now there's a light unto my path And I can find my way at last. I know where I'm going now. =================================== Like a lone voice out in the darkness Calling out for someone's helping hand. And he heard me, and he found me. He took me in his bosom, and to the promised land. ============================== And while I'm passing through the years I know I'll never feel the fear To know there's fewer years ahead than left behind. I know that when my life has passed I will be with God at last. Cuz I know where Ia019m going now.
