Story behind the song
This song came about while experimenting with a layered approach. I came up with the bass line over a simple drum beat first, then created the rest of the layers. All sounds except drum loops were created with guitar. This is the type of mood that comes over me when a long, taxing day of work or worry washes away with a soothing surf or simple stroll on the beach at sunset. As I'm waiting for a set to come in, I soak in the air, the motion, and sounds of the ocean. It's very peaceful and I feel connected with the whales, dolphins, pelicans, and sea gulls... even that little bastard stingray that pricked me last Saturday!
