Story behind the song
I heard Tony Bennett do this song on a childrens video called "Good Night Moon", and loved the idea of approaching it as a lullabye. I had that in mind when I recorded this version. It's much different than Mr. Bennett's version but the sentiment is the same. I stayed with the lyrics that he sang, wich are different from the original, and sang "The sandman's on his way" instead of "Milkman's on his way", more appropriate as a lullabye. I recorded and sang this tune for my children, Ian and Soleil, ages 4 and 6.

David, after listening to your version of Lullabye I can understand why you sing it to your children. Very calming, mellow sound, great vocals...relaxes me!!! Donna Shrewsbury
