Story behind the song
lyrics: inspired by one Nicole Hennig, an old friend who got hot. Having a copy of Hamlet around helped. See if you can tell.
music: The main riff and funky riff were inspired by 'Lipgloss and Letdown' by A Static Lullaby. Drum beat on the funky part is a takeoff from Op Ivy's 'Unity' bridge. The ending is just stereotypical pop rock.
Lyrics
In dreams, one returns to summer
Away from our present lacklustre
I loathe the way I used to feel
But you finally got me to smile
So it is with great august that I declare my own grieving
Wish me not to perish!
It's not me who's leaving!
So I flee your forlorn lips
You know that they could kill us both
There is a poison in your kiss
Let me die right there, gracefully
Let me die, while you recieve my reborn heart
Make me live while you ressurect me
It's a fact, I am anything but perfect
Except.. for... you...
Fuh!
This is the native hue of resolution
Quietus, bleed more ink black
Poetry never saved anyone!
Not even a wretch of me
Omniscience: I will bear all your weight
Omniscience: limit the emotions you let me see
You say I'm so honest, so sweet
So, I dare ask: WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME?!
Calm thy senses and forget thy nystagmus
I will sit here until death throws us blindly
You will feel the brilliance of my eyes
Because we both know that we're not flawless
