Story behind the song
I took part in a challenge to write a song using only the chords Em, F, Am, and C. I sat down and started writing what was on my mind, which narrowed down to this. I arranged and recorded it in one day.
Lyrics
Paper Anniversary (c) 2009 Ted Johnson Well I suppose that I feel lucky, Though I don't believe in luck. It's the paper anniversary. We woke up on the couch. We can't afford to go to Paris, And show off my crappy French. Got a couch in San Francisco; "The Paris of the West." I don't want to think of myself As some ignorant f*** Who believes in luck. It's a short step away From a fool who prays For a better pay And does nothing. I never thought I'd marry, But now I have a wife. I love everything about her. I'm gonna say it twice. I love everything about her. She deserves the artful words that fail me now. I love everything about her. She deserves a better plan Besides "somehow."

I agree with the previous post, just perfect. This is one well wrought song Ted.

Best song I've heard you do Ted! I love how raw and vulnerable the lyrics are, and how the music supports the lyric. Just perfect!
