Story behind the song
So this song came about through my desire to mess with some genres that I usually skip over. What I did was take Alternative drums and Guitar and fused them with Orchestral strings, Jazz horns, and Dance bass. I may go back later and add some percs and some synth sequences, but for now I'm pleased with this as is. The name comes indirectly from the groove. When I was listening to the whole thing near the end of my mix session I kept getting reminded of two things- A.) Classic spy movies & B.) Sport-stadium marching bands. So the first part is geared to be a nod to British Royalty and the second falls back on the Sunday/College Football thing and somehow ended up being about Chess (shrugs). At any rate I hope yall dig this odd lil puppy. Later on!
