I am a singer-songwriter who writes and performs progressive rock and light rock ballads on piano, keyboards and guitar. I sometimes bring in my wife, friends and former bandmembers to assist with my performances, but with busy schedules amongst us, more often than not these are usually solo performances enhanced with MIDI back-up tracks, which provide a beautiful contrast of a live vocal and guitar or piano over a pre-recorded background.

Story behind the song
Written during hard times while living in Seattle with some friends who took me in long enough to get back on my feet. The song was filled with hope and dedication to a good cause. Inspired by Todd Rundgren's "Just One Victory".
Lyrics
TILL WE'RE FREE 1991 - Seattle WA The trouble in these times it comes as no surprise - We've been living in a falling world a culture in demise - We've got to look around and try to realize - We've got to spread the truth and cut through all the lies - The Man tells us lies every day - Newspaper says it's got to be that way - Tells us there's no solution anyway - But we're working for a future where we will someday - Be FREE... Be FREE... - Oh my love I think you're right once again - We're really getting nowhere, talking how it should've been - But still it's not too late for us to come to understand - That we cannot be lovers if we can't be friends - And the walls are still standing there - They are really much too high and too wide - Part of the boundaries that we share - Made up of so much foolish pride - We've got to find our way out to the side - Where we're FREE... We'll be FREE... - For every lonely soul who's wandered far from home - For all the children lost and wandering through this world alone - People get together and help this one out - Cut through your depression, put away your doubt - You've got to keep your eyes - On that Freedom - will be our prize - Just forget about your thinking that it can't be done Cause we have got to fight until the victory's won And we're FREE... We'll be FREE - Till We're Free - 1991 - Scott Gordon
