A broad range of genres and production values - from studio work to raw live performances on acoustic instruments back in the days of killer tape hiss. (All were produced as song demos vs artist demos.) IF YOU'RE A LYRIC FAN, click on the "full" or "full song info" line and play the songs from there. That way you can read the lyrics at the bottom of the page as the song plays. I am guilty of all the words, music, arrangements, production, and male vocals. Fortunately, for both you AND me, friends handled the female vocals. (Thanks Leanne, Bodra, Dianne, & Roxanne!) See ya out there!

Story behind the song
I was sitting on the cliffs on the west side of the DeCourcy Island, not far from Warren's home, when this song suddenly arrived. It was the day before Warren's wake. I didn't think about it being for Warren as I was writing it. In fact, I was somewhat surprised by the song's style, which is an unusual one for me. But almost the moment I finished writing it (as strange as it might sound), I suddenly had an image in my mind of Warren sitting alone at an outdoor cafe in Mexico (where he often traveled on his own) ... nursing a cool drink ... feeling a little melancholy. The next instant a hummingbird almost knocked me backward as it went zipping by horizontally a few inches from my face. Two days later I was playing the song for Warren's daughters when another hummingbird came up and hovered just behind one of their ears. Afterward, they told me their mother loved hummingbirds, and whenever they see one, they think of her. Hmmmm. Buen viaje, Warren! (Written and recorded on DeCourcy Island, ... in the Salish Sea ... north (a long way north!) - of Mexico.)
