Story behind the song
Throughout my life, my folks have always been there for me. And although they know I love them, maybe I don't tell them as often as I should. So now, here we are, getting older, and realizing that these opportunities are not gonna be around forever. I thought I'd write them a little song for Christmas, telling them how much they mean to me. This is what I came up with. Hope you like it!
Lyrics
Maybe it's just that time of year, or maybe it's just about time to tell you both just how I feel, and being so glad your mine I know that I don't need to say how much you mean to me each day it's been so long, I guess I'll say I love you anyway. There were times I let you down, and sometimes made you cry and there were times where we had so much fun did ya ever wonder why the love that shines off both of you seems alway's on the rise to me you are a perfect pair, a blessing in disguise Thanks for the love Mom and Dad it seems like years since I said, that you mean everything to me and thanks for the music and the truthfulness oh yes and I say thank you for being there for me. Through the years you've been for me, you taught me right from wrong You showed me ways to live my life, and helped my soul grow strong For always the two of you will be inside of me So from all of your children, I say whole-heartedly Thanks for the love Mom and Dad it seems like years since I said, that you mean everything to me and thanks for the music and the truthfulness oh yes and I say thank you for being there for me.

Your right......I love it! If one of my kids wrote that for me I would be SO touched!! You should put a photo of your parents with this one! It's so soft and pretty. Very nice! :) Rosie
