Near Miss

In the summer of 2001 former members of Bigwig, Max Béchard and Jeremy Hernandez, recorded a short four-song demo that would mark the foundation of NearMiss; a progressive punk-rock band they would base out of Austin, Texas. Bassist Mychael Bingham and guitarist Sean Cockrell joined weeks later adding the finishing touches to the band's darker version of melodic rock. NearMiss has played host to bands such as SUM41, The Vandals, Goldfinger, Gob, Mest, Rise Against and The Lawrence Arms. In the one year they have been together, NearMiss has toured the US three times and plan to add Canada to their circuit starting in the spring of 2003. Their full-length record “The Gentle Art Of Making Enemies” is available in stores and through Fearless Records.
