Story behind the song
I have been a trombonist for a number of years, and decided I'd try my hand at composing. This is my first effort, but I've had several compliments on it, so I'm forging ahead with composing more.
I like the minimalist movement (John Adams, Phillip Glass, et. al), and based this piece on John Adams' The Chairman Dances, using some of his rhythms, but this composition is entirely different, and is completely original.
