No nonsense Rock/Pop guitar music.
'One man band', that's me. I've played in a couple of bands in the past, but have recently returned to making music with a home studio setup.
Story behind the song
Some married friends of mine were going through a tough time recently. I've known too many of my friends' marriages split up - the song is a kind of plea not to sucumb to the 'grass is greener' temptation.
Lyrics
Verse 1 Keep away from the edge, darling,
Take care you don’t fall,
Do you really want to… risk it all?
Come away from the edge, darling,
Keep your feet on the ground,
What’s gone is gone, don’t lose what you’ve found.
Chorus Don’t give it up, don’t throw it away,
We’ll work it out, come back and stay.
Come back and stay.
Verse 2 Think of all that you’ve got, darling,
Take care as you choose,
So much to risk, so much to lose.
Think of all those who need you, darling,
Don’t leave us alone,
We want you back, we want you home.
Chorus
Verse 3 Leave a little time, darling,
Take a moment just to think,
Find a way to pull back from the brink.
With a little time, darling,
You will find the feeling fade,
And this will be the big mistake you never made.
Chorus
