Perverted, retarded, immature, sexy, gay, assholes, and many other words describe the band Grand-Tour. Take a listen and you'll hear why they are described as such. Formed in 2001 the original line-up quickly faded but then in the summer of 2002 the band was launched to what it was today. Brent Thorsen joined Grant Geiger and Travis Newell to start G-T from scratch. Grant did guitar and vocals, Travis did the drums, and Brent did the bass. After practicing for a year they finally did a show. Two weeks after the show Brent said he had lost intrest and quit. In July of 2003 Eric Haffeman joined the mad-loving fun of Grand-Tour. After practicing a month with Eric, we decided to do our first show. We played a going away party and people liked us it was cool. Since then weve played 16 shows. Our biggest highlight yet was playing with the awesome HeWhoCorrupts from chicagoland. Right now we are in the process of finishing up recording our demo so be on the look out for it soon. As for now, nothing seems to be stoping Grand-Tour anytime soon.

Story behind the song
For some strange reason this song was inspired by just looking at a picture. Its in the lawrence arms - a guided tour of chicago lyric booklet. i saw a picture of the street corners lawrence and kenmore and inspiration hit me and i wrote this song. i also included my hate for fucking starbucks. i was in seatle and saw about 3 withing walking distance of each other...ahhh our forests were cut down for one good reason, so i can get 3 cups of expensive ass coffe in one block. fuckin a. but yeah. this is always a crowd favorite song. -Grant
Lyrics
As I stood on the corner lawrence and kenmore everything had seemed liked it changed the buildings toward over me banners and flags coverd the sky and then i thought to myself "i wish that this would all go away" and then i closed my eyes and i wished it would all go away Nine years later I opend my eyes nine years later i adjusted my tie nine years later i crossed that street gave some coings to a homeless man so that he could eat and then looked across the street at that empty corner and i watched a starbucks be put up on that empty corner and I never stood on lawrence and kenmore and I never stood on lawrence and kenmore again As I stood on the corner of lawrence and kenmore everything had seemed like it had changed
